There are four general phases of a dam removal project: aquiring permissions, planning the project, the actual removal, and follow-up monitoring. In this Dam Removal Europe Practitioners Webinar, we will cover phase III—getting the diggers in and freeing the river. This technical process, many times, can be quite challenging to complete; especially, when there are contributing factors that complicate the process. This first Dam Removal Europe Practitioners Webinar will explore this topic in depth to bring clarity on an otherwise overlooked aspect of dam removal. We will learn from three project engineers presenting about their own dam removals and lessons learned. The webinar will feature live footage from a removal happening that day in Sweden! This is a unique opportunity you do not want to miss.

This webinar is meant for people who would like to carry out barrier removals in their country, dam removal engineers, river restoration project managers, and those interested in this topic or looking for guidance for their dam removal project. Of course, the webinar is open to anyone who would like to attend but space is limited to 500 participants.

The dam at Marieberg Power Plant in the Mörrumsån river, Sweden that will be removed during the webinar.
